Do you know where your food comes from? That may seem like a simple question, but for many youth across Ontario it’s not a simple idea. . We spoke with the 2022 Teaching Excellence in Agriculture and Food Education Winner, Nigel Carlisle. Nigel is a Secondary Teacher at Cornwall Collegiate Vocational School is using ag-focused teaching methods to empower students to become food literate community members. His ultimate goal is to change how his students learn using hands-on experience over tests and books.
